JA G.E.M.S

Junior Auxiliary of St. Francis County's Child Welfare Project is JA G.E.M.S

(Girls Empowered by Mentoring Sisters).

Members of JASFC are mentoring and bonding with 5th-8th grade girls in St. Francis County and joining them on their journey through High School.

Child welfare is the foundation of the National Association of Junior Auxiliary and it is the cornerstone of all 100 Chapters.  Each chapter sponsors child welfare projects throughout their local community.  The goal of JA G.E.M.S is to impact the lives of young girls by offering encouragement, support, and smiles.

THE COMPONENTS OF THE JUNIOR AUXILIARY DEFINITION OF CHILD WELFARE ARE:

  • Breaking the cycle of dependency (physical, emotional)

  • Basic necessities (food, clothing, shelter, emotional support)

  • On-going commitment and support

Do you know a 5th-10th grade girl that could benefit from a mentoring program like this?
